CAMHS Mental Health Practitioner
(Social Worker, Mental Health Nurse, Cognitive Behavioural Therapist or Psychologist)

Band 6, 7 or 8A depending on experience

Partially Remote Working, Partially Service Based.

Job Description:

Sugarman Mind are looking for Band 6, Band 7 & Band 8 level nurses or other CAMHS experienced professionals/therapists for Children & Families Tamworth/Cannock/Stafford. The Specialist CAMHS team works in partnership with the CAMHS Intensive Outreach team, Children's Eating Disorder team and the Children's Autism Service.

All would need a professional registration; we would want all Core Duties for a Specialist CAMHS team, experience of doing Choice Assessments, Ward Based Assessments for Self Harm/Overdose, Duty Role, with experience in working with a range of YP who present with significant self-harm, suicidal ideation and mental health conditions including those where there may be a co-morbid condition such as Autism and those with additional environmental challenges and social care needs.

Experience in supporting LAC within a Specialist CAMHS team would also be an advantage. The team are using agile working currently, all face to face appointments are agreed by the MDT and clinical rationale for those to be seen face to face is documented, so we have a blended approach at the minute, those who can be seen remotely are seen by our video platform. All meetings and admin/non clinical duties can be completed remotely.
