CAMHS Crisis Mental Health Practitioner - Band 6
You will work both autonomously and as a team player providing emergency assessment, intensive treatment and outreach response to our service users and their families/carers in a mental health crisis. You will ensure that our service users are treated in the least restrictive environment and by providing an intensive community intervention response will aim to avoid admission to hospital. Where inpatient treatment is part of the care plan, you will liaise with appropriate community and inpatient services to facilitate a timely discharge and transition into community services. You will offer consultation, supervision and training to other professionals on management of risk and crisis presentation including providing support to the CAMHS Single Point of Access clinician in the screening and triage of new referrals. The role will also require you to participate in the CAMHS out of hours on call provision. As a member of the team the successful candidate will also contribute to the wider aims of the service through participation in service development/research.
Working hours: Monday - Friday currently 9am - 5pm
