Registered manager - Childrens residential

Croydon

£40.000 - £45.000 per annum

Full time/Permanent

Sugarman Health and well being are currently recruiting for a Registered Childrens Manager for our clients service in Croydon which offers a salary of between £40 - £45k per annum.

9 beds service for children between the ages of10-17. Service provides a safe, secure environment for up to nine children preparing them for a return to a foster, birth family or a move to independent living. Staffed by a team of experienced, dedicated and fully-trained residential care workers, a homely environment which is safe

This service specialises in working with children and young people who present the following:-

* Challenging Behaviours
* At risk of sexual exploitation
* Emotional and/or behavioural difficulties
* Learning Difficulties (mild and moderate)
* Mental health difficulties (Depression, Anxiety, self-harm)
* Pervasive developmental disorder (e.g. Aspergers syndrome)

About you:

Recognised and accredited social work qualification
Management qualification preferred or willing to complete NVQ 5 in Leadership

Ability to satisfy Ofsted as a Registered Manager
*Proven staff management experience and leadership skills including, supervision,
monitoring and disciplinary
*Proven knowledge of Ofsted, National Minimum Standards for Residential Care Services
Regulations
*Excellent communication and administrative skills
*Managing services within agreed budgetary constraints including the achievement of
income and expenditure targets.
*Ability to run the day-to-day practice and business aspects of the Residential Care
and making placements with Local Authorities
*Strong leadership skills to implement the vision and strategy of the agency
*Ability to review and monitor outcomes and make sound and safe decisions in all aspects
